Could not install current ISO Image

Hi,

today, I tried to install ASL V6.1 from current ISO image. Neither "classic" nor "noapic" kernel options work.  

bzImage was loading successfully, while loading initrd, the system does a cold start whithout any messages.

I think, the crash is a the end of loading initrd.

System is a VIA C3/EDEN Barebone with 533MHz, 3xLAN, 256MB and 60 GB hard disk drive.

Unfortunatly, there no error messages or other messages, so I hope you could help anyway...

    Hmmm, best guess is that the C3 processor isn't supported properly in V6. Anyone else running a C3 processor? Maybe there's a way to figure out what type of CPU support was compiled into the kernel?

    well, the developer should know the type of cpu support was compiled into the kernel.

    I like my C3. The power consumption is ulta low - about 13 watts ....

    IIRC, the C3 is not supported in version 6.

    I'd point you to the HCL, but the link to the docs site doesn't seem to be going to the right place anymore.

    Search these forums, and you should find some discussion about which VIA CPUs work in 6.x
