hyperdyper daemon

Hello,

since last week we had following problem with our ASG220 since the uptdate to 6.10:

hyperdyper daemon not running - restarted

has anybody an idea what is the hyperdyper daemon and how to solve the problem.

    Hyperdyper daemon is part of the reporting feature within ASL i would make assumption that it performs the same function within the appliances.

    I have been having this problem too on my ASG220 after upgrading to 6.101.  After reboot there is 1 notification message about the hyperdyper being restarted.  I SSH into the box and it seems to be running fine so I figured it was not a big deal.  (It's is the ps list anyway).  

    I always figured it was antivirus due to references I searched on it before.  I also watched the Astaro through ssh using top and see that hyperdyper always eats up CPU when downloading through the http proxy.  I don't actually know what exactly it does, but it seemed to make logical sense that it was AV as I watched it perform.

    same problem here. after updating to 6.101 i get this message every day. can slightly remember this was already a problem in the initial 5.100 release?!

    additional info: http av scanning ON, http spyware scanning ON, smtp AV scanning ON. Both scanners active (kaspersky+clam).

    some kind of reaction of astaro ag would be sweet as i am not the only one discovering this problem. even a mentioning in the known issues list would be great.

    Astaro: are there any news regarding this issue?

    Hyperdyper is the internal http proxy.

    I thought hyperdyper was the part connecting both av engines and the smtp and http proxy, but nevertheless:
    Your hyperdyper died who knows why, but gets restartet so it isn't that big a problem.
    This is NOT the official Astaro Support platform, if your box doesn't, work open a support case with astaro support.

    I'm having this problem too.

    I have two content filtering schemes and one adds additional filtering between 7am-2pm.  This used to work properly.

    But yesterday I enabled QoS on the WAN link for 15min, change a few priority rules in the packet filter, and then turned QoS off.

    Then the hyperdyper demon started giving me errors with both content filtering schemes enabled.  And now with both enabled, I don't have any web access on port 80.

    Any ideas?  I'm not going to reinstall yet until I can email this case to Astaro.
