Before I send this ASG220 back, can someone please explain how something so simple can be so complicated? I was trying to replace a 12 year old firewall that does NAT, HTTP, Routing, and Network Access Rules among other things.  All of the documentation, including the user manual and operating manual, has me referencing  back and forth for explainations of how to do these simple tasks.  Google helped with acronyms and definition of terms but this apparently is not dumbed down enough for us.

    I think if you have enough knownledge about, iptables,nat etc. it must be very easy to set up. If not try to learn first or use the Knowledgebase. Nearly every Standard stuff you might want to do with astaro is explained in a howto.

    I think I have red nearly every howto, and found a lot of interisting things, in tuning my astaro.

    I have searched the knowledge base with words like "one to one nat" or "how to configure nat". The information I get back is not helping. It should be simple like; enable nat, enter private address, enter public address, done.  Masq private ip addresses on the internet is not the problem. Its inbound traffic needing translation to private addresses bound to internal resources.

    Network: NAT/Masquerading

    1) Ruletype: DNAT/SNAT

    2) Packets to match / Destination address :

    3) Change Destination to: 

    Remember: DNAT happens BEFORE the packet filter processing. 
    Be carefully with mixing masq and dnat/snat ! :-)

    4) Filter rule to allow access to
