NIC - Hardware Drops

Hi everybody,

what does this mean ?

command: ifconfig eth5

TX packets:78876210 errors:6118 dropped:16512 overruns:0 carrier:6118

For me it looks like a faulty Nic or cabling.
Right?

Or a bad switch or router or something else nearby.

What NIC are you using?

yes right.

I'm using a D-Link Quad-Port Card.
But i have installed a free 3-Com Card too. I will change the connection to this.

So this is maybe the reason for different VPN-Disconnects.
Or the Cable or the Switch.
I will test it.
