Newbie Install v6.0

You don't get the gui browser on the Astaro box, you get the gui browser on your PC when talking to the Astaro box. At the address pointed to in the above post.

Okay, that of course is what I thought after reading the docs, etc.  I did that some time ago earlier this afternooon with no luck.  SO, after the posts here, I figured I was doing something wrong so I installed again.

I have two NIC's in my ASL machine and right now, both ether cables are hooked up to both and are running to my switch.   From my switch I then run to a DSL upscale modem. 

I have about 28 Ip's that are all static and for some reason, I can't get the https://19etc...etc... to come up. I have tried it on other machines, I make sure I get activity to both of my NIC's ,e tc..

Any ideas???

Just a suggestion or two, when you look at your logon on your Astaro box it should have an ip above your login prompt.  That is what you want to point your browser to (https). If you can't login with that ip, login to your Astaro box and type ifconfig.  This will give you a list of the ip's that astaro has assigned to your nic card(s).  However since you have mentioned you haven't yet been able to access your box thru a browser, this may not be much help.  Sometimes you can run into a snag when you're trying to access in when you're on a different ip segment.  With you operating all boxes on static ip's there may also be an issue of pointing to your gateway (should be your Astaro box, unless testing). Eth0 is the suggested green/internal side of the firewall.

first, you should ONLY connect ONE cable to the switch !!
In your case "eth0" (this is your primary interface).
The second interface "eth1" which will bring you to the internet will be connected to the DSL modem later.

While installing you are asked for an IP-adress for primary interface eth0.
This is your intranet connection.

If you have already an IP based network, how do your IP adresses look like ??
(Windows: go to command line and type "ipconfig /all", Linux "ifconfig")
For example your PC has 192.168.1.43, then choose a FREE IP-adress from the same range 
(means between 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254) and assign it to eth0.

After finishing installation go to your PC, make sure, there is no proxy defined and type https://192.168.1.x
where x is the free ip-adress you assigned to internal interface eth0.
