When i priced all the softwrare only for our user count (sim connections) vs the appliance(unlimited), we basicallhy got a free server. So it really depends on your needs. I guess they just added a bigger box than i have too. I don't know if they restructred the pricing yet, I just know vendors were kinda ticked when i bought. They will say that the appliance limits you to the hardware, but in my case it was free and it runs 20 times faster than a pc i tested on (software).
