Upgrade to 5.100 fails

What could be the reason for this:

000 Running Version: 5.027
001 System Up2Date: Started installation upto 5.100
002 Searching for update from 5.027 to 5.028 or higher
003 Verifying signature and decrypt (v 5.100) for //var/up2date/5.100.tar.gpg
004 Pre-Stop-Scripting ... Nothing to do
005 :: Stopping MiddleWare..done
006 Post-Stop-Scripting ... Nothing to do
007 Starting Installer ... 
008 Pre-Start-Scripting ...
009 Started /var/up2date/5.100/convert in pre_start mode
010 Ok
011 System Up2Date failed: Error occured while running installer
012 Did not dumpSystem Up2Date failed: Installer stopped due to internal error

    Hey, I have the same problem upgrading 5.103 to 5.2. I was going to create a backup and reinstall 5.204 and read the backup back, but I'm interested in the reason, too.

    My box behaved totally unpredictable after these errors, changes made in Webadmin were not taken over, packets were blocked, a second later they passed the firewall. I had to reboot then everything was working normally.
