I had news about ASL v5.x only work with a max of 4 GB of RAM

What is the max RAM Memory for ASL v.6  ???

    32 bit programs are limited to 4 gigs of ram.  AFAIK v6 is still 32 bit so 4 gigs will be the maximum.

    Each program can not address more than 4GB, but Linux does support PAE which allows the _system_ to use more.

    However, PAE can be very slow so it's probably not worthwhile for a firewall.
    And apparently, ASL does not have PAE enabled.
