Server wont d/l 5.104

easiest way, get the latest 5.2xx installer iso from ftp.astaro.com. Make a backup of your current system, install the box with the new version, restore the backup, finished. Takes about 20 minutes.

that seems like a pretty extreme measure to fix this.  

There is a 'Import from file' option in the Up2Date section.  Is there a way that I can obtain the 5.104.tar.gpg and load it into the staging area like that?

Apply that package, then apply all the updates.  Can an admin point me in the correct direction on where to obtain this gpg file?

or does anyone think that loggin into the console and deleting all the rest of the updates from 5.200 - 5.206 and trying to connect to the U2D server to get them again would work?

This is not extreme.  Hve the system make a config backup..install the latest iso..install your backup..do the following few updates.  Much less time used and therefore much less inconvienence.  Much better than having a non-updated system and/or casusing more downtime by trying to work around amadding bug that is fixed in later versions.

ok, so lets say that the server isnt sending my backups to me?

I have it set that it is supposed to send me and one other individual backups on a daily basis.  They are not reaching our email.  is there a way to retrive this backup file from the console or some other way?

yes int he webadmin goto system/backup
use create a backup.  The system will generate a backup and then send it directly to your browser as a download.

 i have the backup file but there is one more thing though.  Im using the Novell branded version called Novell Security Manager.  Where can i dowload that ISO from? and IS there a higher version ISO?

Dunno.  use the latest iso you can find.  check that version against the iso provided by Astaro.  i do not know if the two are interchangeable.
