V6 and VIA C3 800 Samuel CPU

I tryed to upgrade my firewall with Version 6 and it kepted rebooting after the CD loaded the Kernal into Memory. I see that the only VIA Chip core supported and tested is the C3 Nehemiah. My CPU is the C3 Samuel 800 MHZ, Bummer. I guess I'm stuck with V5 for now. It runs like a champ with that Version. Any one else try to load on a simler CPU??

VIA C3 Samuel is not supported since it lacks the Intel cmov extension, sorry.

Damn ran into the same issue with my private home astaro just a minute ago. Does that mean that newer VIA CPUs (like Nehemia) might work?

If that's the case i would seriously consider to exchange the Mainboard and go for a VIA Nehemia 1 GHz or something like that.

The HW compatabilty list has the Nehemia CPU as tested and compatable

I just ran into the same problem as well. Is there any hope of V6 supporting the C3 processor (I have an VIA EPIA 800 as well) or am I out of luck? V5.2 runs great on it...

Can anyone shed some light on which VIA CPU's based on the Nemiah core are supported ?? Is it only the C3's or are the new Eden CPU's (based on Nehemiah) supported as well.

I'm looking at the Epia SP8000E board or the older PD10000 (which is not fanless).
