No connection from DMZ after switching to pppoe

Hi,

I just faced a strange problem on one of our boxes.
Due to the failure of the router-box, which was still between the ASL and the DSL-modem, I changed the external-interface from static to PPPoE. No other changes had been made.
After rebooting the interface went up and the users could work as usual, but the mail-server in the DMZ can no longer get a connection to the internet.
We use fetchmail to get the mail from our ISP and there is a rule: DMZ - POP3 - Any.
The only way to get fetchmail working again, was to allow DMZ for the POP-Proxy, what wasn't necessary before.

It is still not possible to ping sites outside from the DMZ.

Any ideas, what I forgot to change?

Hey Walter,

i had the same Problem. Try this:

set a rule Masquerading in Network NAT/masq..
Typ Masq.
Network intern and/or DMZ_network
interface extern

finish

Cause without u send packets with ur intern IP Adress but intern IP Adress dont routing in the internet.

Hope this will fix your problem

Hi Harald,

sometimes you look with eyes closed.
I looked for masquerading, but because I have a masquerading rule from intern to DMZ, I didn't look for the details.
