Up2Date succeeded and failed!?

During the update from 5.103 to 5.200 I got this message (I post only the 2 interessting lines):
015 System Up2Date succeeded: Installed Up2Date Package Version 5.200
016 System Up2Date failed: Not enough free space under /var/up2date. Available space: 8

Disk partition status says after the update: /dev/hda6               351421    196845    136433  60% /var/up2date

1. Did the Up2Date succeed or fail? Or both?
2. The system says now 5.200 but can I be sure that all updates were installed?
3. What does "Available space: 8" mean?

    Hi,

    had this trouble mutliple times. Had to remove the files manual on 30 systems, no fun that is. 
    Seems that the installer eiter starts the reboot process to fast, or the removing process just dies, leaving the unpacked UP2DATE files in /var/up2date/.
    What me too wonders is, why the hell is the part. so small?

    Hi Chris,
    plz tell me how you delete this files - have the same probs - . I've searched for rm / delete etc.. but my system couldn't find these linux orders.
    Now the system is telling me many times a day that the partition is full.

    Hi,

    no magic trick, just get root. 
    cd /var/up2date
    //this is a separate partition where all patch rpms are stored
    //it contains normaly the patch.pgp and/or the dir when it is
    //extracted.
    rm -rf 5.* 
    //this will remove all files and dir regarding patches for Version //5.xxx
    and finished.
