Share bandwith

I´m planning to connect a second pc to ASL und upgrade my ADSL to 2 Mbit.

So i just want to know if it´s possible to give each PC always exactly half of the bandwith?Each pc has a static ip.

Is there a way to do this with ASL?

    Allocating half the bandwidth to each PC is not an easy thing to enforce.

    And why in the world would you even want to do that?

    Keep in mind that TCP/IP is an asyncronous mprotocol. The two PCs will be talking on the link at different times, since each of the PCs will be used differently from the other. If both are downloading big files at the same time, they will automatically share the available bandwidth anyway. It seems to me that this is an issue that you can simply ignore without having to worry.
