Loosing Internet Connection, can´t get new IP

Hi,

i just installed Astaro and finally got it to work.
but just for half an hour... [:(]

After half an hour the internet connection got closed (ADSL by Telekom) and i had to reboot the firewall.
After the reboot i didn´t get new dynamic IP from my ISP, but i haven´t changed anything.SO i first tried to reboot some more times but he never got an dynamic IP from my ISP "Telekom".

Does anyone know this problem and how to solve?

    Hi,

    there´s a time limit that the ASL waits between two dailing tries. It´s 15mins.

    Look at webadmin-logs-pppoe .
    Post it here so that everybody can see why connection couldn´t be established.

    Hi,

    as you can see the ASL receives no packets from the AC.
    Did your internet connection work before ?
    What kind of Ethernet card do you use?

    I made the experience that some ethernet cards have problems under linux establishing DSL connections.

    Nevertheless check your cables etc.

    Please also post what kind of hardware especially which network card do you use for DSL.

    Problem was solved.

    The solution was, that the old combo NIC (BNC & RJ45), which was connected to the DSL-modem was the problem.so i switched the NIC with the 3COM card that i used to connect from ASL to my windows host and suddenly i had no problems any more soo far.

    thank you for your help.
    ASL is working fine now and i already love the features of ASL and will suggest it to my friends and business partners.
