Astaro / Novell Security Manager on HP DL320

Dear all
I'm trying to install Astaro 5.1 on a HP Proliant DL320. The server has two 80Gb IDE harddrives which are mirriored using built-in IDE-raid controller. However if I try to install Astaro I always get a message saying "more than 1 harddrive found".

I'm also wondering if there is a possibility to install some kind of "power-management" because even if I adjust fan's speed in the bios to slow the server is really noisy....

Does anyone have any experience with this ProLiant DL320?

Astaro does not support IDE raid but SCSI raid. Check the HCL at http://docs.astaro.org/HCL-5.0.txt. Also Astaro supports only one harddisk during installation. Remove the second harddisk. Then install.

If you have a static compiled binary which matches the kernel version of ASL you might be able to install a software which handles the fan speed of your system. But anyway this action is not supported and might crash your entire system. I recommend to put the server into the server room and live with the noise.
