Have a Dell 750 server. I installed the Pro/1000 MT card in a PCI slot that does not have the extended connector. When I do a fresh install with version 5.2 CD it lists the adapter during hardware detection, but drops it from the list when prompted to pick an adapter for admin purposes. Also, after completing the install and logging in as administrator it does not show up under hardware interfaces. Using a Pro/100 card in the same slot comes up fine. This card is on the HW compatility list. Is it because I can not put the card in a full slot? Any susggestions would be appreciated!!
