Internet access

I can see from the sort of questions that are on this forum that mine will be one of the easier to answer. I am a complete newby to networking. I am trying Astaro because I got key logged and lost about £100! Anyway I just want to know the basic setting to allow me to access the internet through the firewal - how do I define a service for internet access?. I have my cards set up correctly.

Yes, this is really easy to answer  [;)]
Look at the top of this forum site and follow the link to  our documentation site
There you will find (in the howto section) a PDF called Initial_Setup .

Read it, try it and be successful

I have read and read - I would not usualy ask for help unless I couldn't find the answer. Anyway I do not understand the jargon. I am looking into it right now but need ages of foundation work to understand how ports, ip addresses work and about services and source destination etc. I realy am a newbs so right now I just need a typical setting so that I can access the internet untill I have researched a little more.

configure the following on your box.
the network interfaces.
network nat/masq
and packet filter rule.
you can fine tune the rest later.

details about those 3 you can find in the doc.
