Can I go back to 5.027 ?

what kind of problems are you having?  Also, have you tried 5.102?

I get a 
[INFO-113] alicd not running - restarted
about once an hour and the primary internet connection goes down and comes back up 2-3 times per minute every 4-5 hours. When using PPPoE  to connect to Bellsouth, it would not re-connect after sync was re-established, so I let the Westell modem establish the connect and placed the firewall at  a static IP with DMZ on the modem to that IP.  


 I am using 5.102.

I was using a DELL desktop with a P4 2.5 MHz w/256 Meg Ram and have also tried a IBM Netfinity 5600 P III-667 Mhz w/ 1 Gig Memory -- hoping that it might be some type of hardware error, even though it worked fine on 5.026 with the Dell.  I think that I need to add some memory to the Dell -- but at the moment I can't get consistent behavior at all.  
I really have problems with Virus Protection turned on in the http proxy -- it reduces browsing to a crawl.
Any suggestions would be appericated!

ah..i do not run a/v on the http side.  I do use the content filter.  I run http proxy in transparent with caching and content filtering without issue.

Even with a/v filtering turned off, I still get the licensing restart errors and the failover dropping repeatedly in several minutes -- and I have had trouble with the PPOE not connecting like I would like. 

I am going to re-install 5.100 tomorrow with a different NIC and set it up on a test network instead of the way it's set up now to see if it would help.


I still would like the abiility to go back to 5.000 for a month or two and let someone with more knowledge and time iron out the bugs for me ..... [:)]
