I logged in earlier tonight to help a friend upgrade the key to her Astaro firewall, since it still runs v3.222 and needs to be upgraded to 5.0 or 5.1 with some newer hardware that she just recently made available. Unfortunately, I didn't read the docs that say that I would need to start the v5.x upgrade from v4.019 or better. Also, I didn't pay attention to what the key was on the website, it may have been for v4.0. However, I have the v3.2 box still running and can get the key from it. I also have the new key which is for v5.x. So, my question is what is the best way to upgrade v3.222 to some version of v4.x, so that I can back up the config under v4.x, then upgrade to v5.x??? In other words, will I need a v4.x license key at any point? Also, is there a "best-case" version of v4.x that I should upgrade TO even though it will only be temporarily installed just long enough to get the right backup to go on up to v5.x?
