ASL on Centrino (Pentium M) Notebook?

I want to install asl on a centrino notebook. i need it to learn for the ace test and be mobile when i learn. i looked into the hardware list and find nothing wich shows me if it will work or not. does anybody know something about it?

Astaro will work on you laptop assuming the network cards are compatible, however you will end up with a dedicated firewall and you notebook will do nothing else... not sure if this is what you really want. I wouldn't. Personally I would install VMware on you laptop and run ASL on top of VMware, this way you keep you Windows installation and have ASL if needed.

I think with vmware you could simulate multiple networkl-cards and
test with simulated Lan/WAN.
I do not think setting up asl with only one nic on the notebook would
make sense even for learning.

I am running a test Astaro 5.100 on VMware WorkStation 4.0 - works perfectly.

how do you create the dmz? i will try to install astaro in a vmware machine on the weekend. since yesterday i have the ability.
