ASL up2date & virus pattern

Hi all,
I'm looking when updating ASL from version to version (for example from ASL 5.027 to 5.100), virus pattern is up2date or no : the update of pattern is independant from update of the ASL version or when updating ASL pattern is updated?

    If I understand your question right you can specify the intervall to up2date your engine and virus pattern. But the virus pattern install automatically and the asl version was up2date manual.
    Another point is you can up2date the asl engine and the virus pattern by another time. There are separate menu configs to update the versions under "System - Up2Date Service".

    Thank you very much for your help.
    I have just find that solution in ASL Manual :
    System Up2date : system patches and new security features (donwload only, installation is manual)
    Pattern Up2date : new virus virus definition and IPS rules ( this ud2date service download and install (automatically or manually))
