HA NIC Compatibility

Hi!
The HCL says, there is only one gigabit NIC that supports linkbeat for HA (Silicom 6-port) while other NICs from Compaq and Intel using the same chip are not compatible.
Is this linkbeat done by one NIC or by the chip itself, so that other NICs with the same chip should be usable for HA?

I have to do HA with gigabit NICs as I want to use 1U servers that can only be expanded by one card.

Hi,

Maybe they work with 5.100 ?
Might be that the HCL isnt updated yet.
Would be interesting for me aswell since i ever used Intel 100 S because such rare Hardware support.

Known Issue List says its probably fixed.

afaik this was fixed with version 5.100. The diagnostic tool used for link beat checking has been replaced, the new one should support all kind of INTEL chipsets - so far the information from Astaro.
