IBM X336 nics not recognized in 5.1?

Does anyone have an idea why the Integrated dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet cards in an IBM X336 server would not be recognized in 5.1?

    could you please check if those onboard units are running on PCI-X  bus system? If yes I fear Astaro doesn't have the latest drivers installed or the installation routine doesn't know the PCI Ids yet.  What happens if you run a 'modprobe bcm5700'? As far as I know IBM uses broadcom chipsets...

    I can not even get it to install. It fails at the hardware test saying that no nics are found. I installed a copy of fedore core on the machine and ran the modprobe as you suggested it returns,"module bcm5700 not found". according to IBMs site they do use broadcom chipsets. Anything else I should do or try? Or should I just look for a supported pci dual slot nic and order that?  Thank you, Ben
