can only connect to Webadmin via crossover

I can connect to Webadmin but only through a cross over cable. The moment I drop any device between the ASL box and the browser I can no longer load the Webadmin page (though there is still connectivity between boxes). 

The only symptom I can find (seen via sniffer) is after the two systems pass/accept the https cert, the step just before the pages load, both boxes begin to arp each other endlessly. Both arp request each other and both arp respond to the requests.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Just a thought, but the issue may not be with the ASL box but rather a networking issue. If you are running a network, you have to have a cross-over somewhere on the network for all systems to talk to each other. Which would explain why you can connect to the WebAdmin with this cable. If you place a hub with cross-over capabilities between your ASL box and the system you are connecting with, I believe you will see WebAdmin work.

    Ok I solved the problem. The asl box, a dell power edge 1300 with netgear fa311 (rev d maybe?) cards, would not auto-negotiate down to 10mgbit. Even when manually configuring the cards via astaro phone support help it just wouldn’t do it. A 29$ (19$ on sale [:)]s.
