no buffer space available error since 5.027

We've experienced a problem on two of our campuses since the update to 5.027.   The site appears to be offline, nics don't reply to pings, no packets are forwarded, and attmpting to ping anything from the ASL box results in the error "connect: no buffer space available".  Has anyone else seen this problem?

We're using Intel e100 and e1000 cards.  Could this problem be related to the new e100/e1000 drivers in 5.027?

    Welcome to the club. We're having similar problems since about 5.019, with a D-Link DFE-580 (4 ports) and a RealTek RTL-8139 based card. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything yet that might be causing this or how to solve it. 

    Our machine has to handle and MASQerade a lot of FTP connections though. I wonder if there might be a problem.

    I thought I read that the DFE-580 was de-supported due to driver issues.

    It seems like my problem just started, I was fine until 5.027.   On our main site we also have a lot of masqueraded traffic, but this isn't the case at our remote sites.  Right now three of our four remote sites are down.  I'm using the same hardware at all campuses, so I'm fairly certain our main site and the fourth site will be encountering trouble soon.

    I've opened a support case with Astaro on this and will post any resolution.

    I think the problem was related to the Intel NIC driver in my case.  I've replaced the e100 and e1000 drivers on my boxes with the e100_asl and e1000_asl drivers and, so far, all is running well.

    The reply I received from Astaro tech support today recommended this as well.
