5.050 ISO Image doesn't boot.

i have the same problem with my iso 5.050. on gsx it boots but when burned it doesnt.  [:S]

I've got a similar problem with 5.050. It will NOT boot in my beta ASL machine.
I've burned it at 24x and 8x.
I've tried 3 different CD-ROMs.
2 different cables.
tried both IDE channels.
No dice.
But it boots in my laptop.
The startup screen says that it's attemting to boot from ATAPI CDROM... Failed.
Then it tries to boot from the HDD.

Any help?

Boot Failed from CD-ROM ...booting from ISO in VMWARE works.

Same here, won't boot on a PIII system.... [:(]

No PIII huh? Boy that's some way of telling us we need P4s. I guess that's how they're getting more performance.

I downloaded the files at 4:00 pm german time from the german site.
It boots ok on a PIII Mashine (256MB Ram, 40GB Harddisk)

It is not a P4 issue.  I have tried it on a T-Bird 1.44 and a P4 2.66.  The T-Bird just ignores the disk and the P4 says it is bad.

Both systems have 80+ gig hard drives and 1gig of RAM.  Not a memory or HD space issue.  

I can put the CD in a WinXP machine and it autostarts and lets you view the CD.

Burned on two different systems, using Nero 6.6.0.1, tried Track at once and disk at once.

The new 5.027 ISO burns and installs fine on both machines.

I burned with Roxio 5 and Alcohol 120%. No luck there.

I think, that ASL - 5.050 no booting if processor is PII. 
I changed  motherboard with processor PII- 400 MHz behind motherboard with processor Celeron 600 MHz (Coppermine) and ASL - 5.050 booting OK.

I've got a PIII 667 MHz.  5.xxx runs great on it.  ISO still won't boot.  It boots on my Athlon 2500+ fine [:(]

Redownloading the ISO and trying again.

It can't be a hardware issue anyway can it? Wouldn't it have to boot the CDROM in order to check if hardware was acceptable anyway?

Redownloaded, md5 checksum OK.

Burnt at 2x speed.

Still won't boot.  [:S]
