Restore V4.x backup to V5.027 Issue

Greetings.
I have 5.027 and installed on machine I had run v4.x using a new hard drive. 

I used the same NIC for the admin interface and the setup and initial boot up is OK. I set passwords etc. then try to restore backup from v4.x. My backups are not encypted.
 
NAT translations convert and NIC assignments look OK but for some reason the packet filter rules, network definitions, groups, etc. do not import. I did take look in the config logs and it looks to be failing with a xml error during the import process.

I searched the forums and didn't see any reference to an issue like this. 
Has anyone else run into this?

    Never had that problem before. Are there any loggings in the middleware log? Please post them. On which V4 did you create the Backup? Are there any special characters (like german umlauts) used in definitions or somewhere else? This could produce failures during backup import.

    The V4 backup was from latest version.

    I will have to boot up the drive I built v5 on and take a look. Is there a log for the conversion of the V4 restore as that might clue me in which part of the backup the restore is choking on on?

    One system log did mention a XML error but it wasn't specific.

    I have discovered the issue.

    I was installing a fresh setup on a new hard drive and different computer using the same brand NIC's. The admin interface IP was set to something different then the IP address used in the backup file. It looks like when the restore was processing the backup file this change of IP address did something to the upgrade and made it fail.

    When I used the same IP address on the admin interface on the new setup then restored from backup it finished without errors.
