Installed Astaro Sec. Linux 5v, dont know login/pw

Ok I'm completely new to Linux, I figure to see how it is since I dont want to pay $700 for Win2k Server to run a webserver.  I just installed Astaro Security Linux V5, and I am at a screen after bootup: 192.168.2.100 , login:

It also says: host.domain.com .  My computer is just connected to a hub that shares a DSL modem.
Im not sure what the login or password it wants.  I tried my DSL isp info but no go.  I tried searching for the answer for this but had no luck.  Thank you.

    Hi there,

    Two things. First, are you looking to use Astaro Security Linux as a firewall to protect a webserver you own/operate, or are you looking for it to actually BE/OPERATE as a webserver??

    No configuration is done physcially sitting at the machine, during installation you were prompted to set an ip address of one of the boxes interfaces. You now need to sit at your client pc, open up a webbrowser, and navigate to https://ipchosen to access the webadmin graphical user interface.

    As such, if you chose 192.168.100.1 as the ip address of the managment nic, please navigate to https://192.168.100.1 to open up WebAdmin. You can then set passwords and access the system.

    Thanks for the quick reply!  Basically Im going to set it up as a web server temporarily just so I can teach myself, whereas in the near future I will put it to real use (and upgrade it's hardware).

    I have my other computer, client, WinXP, I tried pinging the IP address (192.168.2.100), and it times out.  Also in IE it shows Page Cannot Be Displayed.  Do I need to have a Linux client OS on the client pc?

    Unfortunately our product is not a webserver replacement. While based on open source, the product is designed as a gateway security solution, not a replacement for win2k3's webserver (IIS). While our product could protect a seperately installed installed server quite easily, you will not find the ability to host a website right on a box with our software installed.

    if you'd still like to look at WebAdmin, note that your own pc must be of the same ip topology (192.168.2.101) for example, to be able to login to WebAdmin, or othwerise network-configured to have vislbe access to that chosen IP.
