Configure ASL behind Router...

I just can't quite work it out.  I have ASL working fine through a modem over ppoa...but behind the router I just can't get internet access, I have Masq set from Internal to External, using HTTP proxy and DNS Proxy.  I can browse internet with computer attached directly to the router and up2date works, but cannot get internet connection from internal network.  Maybe I have to set Masq from internal to router internal ip address?  Is this possible?  Anyone else managed to configure ASL to work like this?

    If yer really stuck you could try giving me access to your Astaro box and I'll take a look.
    Prefer to do this during the day, (I am in Western Australia so if you are in NZ I gues that means morning your time.).

    what are your external nic settings? is it still the same as for ppoa after u attach asl to ur router? no need for masquerading to internal ip of router. Just masq ur internal network to that of ur external NIC is enough.

    Lets go in order.
    Can you ping your external NIC on the firewall from the router or a computer on that segment?
    Is your Subnet mask correct?
    Can your Firewall ping the router? If so can your firewall ping the next hop or some other host on the interent? If this all works than you can start looking at your masq and packet rules.
    Set up an any any any rule. See if you can ping from behind the firewall.  Make sure your MASQ rule say internal network and not internal interface.

    Hmmmm...seems to work now.  I set a packet filter to allow any->any and without a proxy it worked,  pointed the browser back to the proxy and it still worked, turned off the packet filter and it's still working...all I did was create a filter turn it on and then turn it off.  Go figure...  Thanks for the offer Simon, I am actually in Cairns not much closer than NZ, but at least same country    We seem to be having Internet issues in general this morning don't seem to be able to connect to any Australian sites, we are with Internode so maybe they are having issues...
