Hi,
Got kind of a big problem setting the duplex mode in ASL5.
ASL is running my eth0 that is my external interface in 100baseTx-HD, I need it to go in 100baseTx-FD to get the most out of my VDSL connection. When I run mii-tool in ASL5 i get:
pixi:/home/login # mii-tool
SIOCGMIIPHY on 'eth0' failed: Operation not supported
eth1: negotiated 100baseTx-FD, link ok
My NICs are eth0 Davicom Ethernet 100/10 MBit and Realtek RT8139 as eth1.
How can I set eth0 in the richt duplex mode?
And why isnt the great tool "ethtool" included in ASL5?
pixi:/home/login # cat /etc/modules.conf
alias eth0 dmfe
alias eth1 8139too
pixi:/home/login #
What I know is that mii-tool fails to set my davicom NIC. And I have to pass options to /etc/modules.conf. And then I wonder, does anyone know what options I need to pass for the "dmfe" module? Cant find anything on google.
Regards Tobias
