Middleware Restarted

HI , Just got this auto email from my ASL box after doing a 5.023 - 5.024 update...

middleware not running - restarted

What goes around checking for things not running? Whats middleware? Just wondering really as it all works OK.

    Was this a one-time email or are you getting them regularly?
    It's probably a good idea, if you're a home user not production, to reboot after every up2date. Most times ASL works just fine after an Up2Date but sometimes it acts a little funny.
