Slow Web Admin

Is anybody experiencing slow web admin access?

Pre-patch 18 (approx) web admin was very quick and reliable, but after installing the uptodate packages the web admin interface has become very slow and sluggish.  You have to wait and slowly watch astaro build the tool bars and finally the clock.

If an option is selected before the GUI is finished building the error message asking if you wish to display unsecured items appears and the GUI fails.

This is becoming very frustrating, I hoped this would have been rectified by now, but we are currently on patch 25 and still no Joy.

Astaro is running on a high spec server:

P4 3.0Ghz with Hyperthreading
512 MB Ram
40 GB HDD

The load on the astaro server peaks at about 11% so it isn’t a hardware issue.

Has anybody been in the same situation and perhaps found a solution to improve performance?

    The problem was due to Mcafee Antivirus 8.0i on the desktops.  We never expected this to be an issue because it worked fine on 7.1.

    If you disable mcafee everything works fine.

    I stopped recommending McAfee's virus software on Windows PC clients years ago, as in my experience it was causing too many problems.
