Reinstalling on different hardware

Hello everyone,

Soon, I will have to reinstll Astaro Linux on a new machine. This new machine is quite different from the old one, mainly a  diffenrent network card setup (it has three instead of the two and they are of different brand).

Question is: will that cause any problem when I switch box ?

  • That's no problem. A new installatio will recognize the NICs. The configuration (backup) only links to the NICs independet of the type of the NIC.

There would be a problem if the new hardware would have less NICs.
