I know, this has been asked a doze times, but for a while I have V5 running on a P2/233, 128MB RAM and a 4,3GB disk - without any problems I am aware of. I am a home user, so power requirements are an issue for me. The disk is a 2.5" model with low power needs.
I don't use VPN or proxies, but packetfilter, ids and dhcp. I get the full speed from the 1MBit adsl line. OK, the web admin is slow as hell, but after initial setup I don't use it often. Due to the new config database system load is 0.5 minimum (on asl v4 it was below 0.2) and can get as high as 6-7 on reboots. RAM usage is at 60MB - lower than V4
So to me everything looks good. Or am I missing something?
