Hello all,
I first must say that I've never really been a big fan of any Linux product. Something would get me excited and then I'd dig into it a little and I would be disappointed.
I am really impressed with astaro and this might just be the product that agrees with me enough to learn what makes Linux tick.
Here's my issue. If I do a full installation with the Enterprise Toolkit and the Open source stuff...everything is peachy. Astaro boots up, I can manage it...but it's too big to fit onto the flash card that plugs into an IDE adapter so the computer sees it like a hard disk (no drivers necessary)...by far. Plus there's a ton of features that I will probably never use.
So I attempted to not include the additional packages. And when I boot I get something about copying initd to root...failed. Then it asks for runlevel. Any number typed says "no processes left at this runlevel".
Some may be wondering what the purpose of the flash card would be...and the only justification I have is that it's not prone to failure like a hard drive.
so what am I doing wrong here? [:)]
thanks.
