Howto keep my ISP Connection alive?

If you have a machine running behind your ASL all the time, you gan just install a POP3 checker that checks your email every 14 minutes, or an NTP client that checks the time every 14 minutes. 
There's also the redial period in ASL for PPPoE, it's set to 600 or 900 seconds right now by default, you can change it to 30 seconds or something else. (Don't get rediculous though)

I try to figure out how to edit the pppd for redail options but unfortunately the config file doas not contain somthing like redail. 
I  prefer to use NTP Services on ASL doas anyone know where to find the right ntp.conf to edit the interval  polling the time?

as root,
find / -name '*ntp*'

finds several config files. they don't have a time value in them though. (has drift settings, ...)

or you could use crontab to run a ping every 10 minutes or whatever.
