intel pro set dual nic supported

hi!

i´ve got a little question:
does the latest astaro recognize/support a intel pro set nic?
my firewall chasis is to small to fit a 4th nic, and i do not want to change the chasis. i would like to change a nic to a intel pro set, which has 2 seperate nics integrated in one pci-card.

well, loong story for this little question.

The intel cards use the e100.o module, to enable ASL to use it edit you modules.conf file with the line

alias ethx e100

where ethx is the next available number for your ethernet devices.

is this a "should work" or a "100% proof"?
its up to me to buy such a card, and i´d like to know that for sure...

The Intel Pro100s "I Think" Dual Port 10/100 works fine here. sorry not certain on the Model Number..

We've got a few firewalls running those on version 4 & 1 on version 5.

check HCL .
If it's called supported there, it will work.

I use an Intel dual 100pro NIC in my ASL box. It works fine.

I had the same problem, as I am using a small form factor PC with just two PCI slots for my ASL router. I picked up a used dual port Intel NIC on eBay, just for the purpose of using it in my ASL box.
