trouble with pulling an IP, and pinging.

Hello all. Here is my issue. I installed Astaro and it saw both nics. It asked which one to use to administer. I chose eth1 as it is connected to my home network. eth0 is connected to my cbale modem. When I do an ifconfig only the eth1 is up at 192.168.0.1. I can't ping it from any machien I get hose unreachable.  When I try to ping my machine from Astaro i get the same. So What to do from here?

open up the box..pci lsots are usually numbered from the pci slot closest to the agp port onwards..so the pci slot next to the agp would be eth0..next eth1..etc etc..you may ahve them hooked up one way and ASL found them according tot he formula i jsut mentioned..try reversing your network cables on the ASL box.
