trouble with pulling an IP, and pinging.

Hello all. Here is my issue. I installed Astaro and it saw both nics. It asked which one to use to administer. I chose eth1 as it is connected to my home network. eth0 is connected to my cbale modem. When I do an ifconfig only the eth1 is up at 192.168.0.1. I can't ping it from any machien I get hose unreachable.  When I try to ping my machine from Astaro i get the same. So What to do from here?

    Did you check cabling ? (Patchcable to switch, Crossover if you connect directly to your PC)
    Are you sure you plugged in the right interface ? Try another one.
    Did  https://192.168.0.1  work in your brwoser (with any proxy disabled) ?

    Most time you need to find out the right interface in the beginning.

    Otherwise:
    What subnet mask did you use ?
    What's the IP of your PC  ?
