[/ QUOTE ] v4 does not support load balancing..it does support fail over..if your primary link goes down ASL will switch to the other link. if you want to load blance you will need to but the ASL behind a router/load balancer(larscom is one brand) to get that functionality.

Due to personal issues I've been away from Astaro.org, but I'm back.
I'm curious about how people are using load balancing. I haven't looked at the multi port SOHO routers but assume they have the typical options plus the load balancing.
Are people setting them up as a router or the typically default Nat/Masq? I'm concerned about double Masq devices. Would you set-up the SOHO as a basic router and use what they call "DMZ" and point both lines to Astaro as the DMZ device. I imagine a shuttle network (192.168.x.x) between the SOHO and Astaro.
Astaro then only has to know about a single gateway. How about IPSEC tunnels when it might not be certain which line it will travel over or if failover occurs at the SOHO?
