Processor 100%

Hi,

V4.22
Our processor is running 100% constant.
Ive tried to empty the cache but then got kicked.

Thie only thing that changed is we have put 256mb mem extra  so now we have 512mb

There is only 1 vpn running over it and some useraccounts (proxy).

Is it ok to disable the cache or can it be something else...

What can this be...

    If your system was running below 100% before and starts this behaviour after upgrading memory, maybe your memory is defective or incompatible to the other 256,b stick ?
    You could run an extensive BIOS  check to test memory.

    Check which process is using 100% CPU (Webadmin -> Reporting -> Hardware -> Process List).
    If it's "fwlogwatch" then ASL is processing your kernellog. Seems you have a very big kernellog, so ASL needs a lot of system ressources to process it. Definde some DROP packerfilter rule. By dropping packets, they will be excluded from logging. Drop broadcasts or netbios, ...
    Have a look to the kernellog to find out why it is so big.
