We just updated a *boatload* of production firewalls from 5.017 to 5.018 and then to 5.019 without a single problem. I agree with William - we need to know what hardware you're running.
My Firewall is running on a VMware instance.
3 network interface
256 MB Ram
I jus have not access to the web console.
The firewall itself is working.

Back to the topic, no probs at all, the only thing I had when upgrading, was that my session timed out, it took sooooohhh long before it was finished. and the reboots after an upgrade aren't announced either ;-(
I reinstall ASL and I restored the configuration. I did all the update till 5.019. At each time a took a snapshot (VMware). Till now all work properly…
