no up 2date no log nothing

"The System Up2Date process has been started.
You can follow the progress in the log window."
BUT no log window shows up and this is all I get. Everything seems to work fine but no updaes ?
what can I do?

what browser are you using?
If IE are you running a popup blocker? If so tell your popup blocker to allow popups from the firewall's ip address.

woke up this morning and low and behold 4 uptodates ready to be installed I am now running V5.009 is that cool or what
