Dear Astaro,
After about 24h hours after installing the 5.017 update, the server stopped accepting SMTP connections (HTTP traffic was normal), the Webmin interface was not anymore reachable from inside and outside the network and a SSH connection (even from the console) was reporting FORK ERROR and the only way was to hard-reset the box.
The log file was full of:
