Hi,

I think that you did not have enough free space at your hdd. Please delete your logs if you not need it or download it to local and archive them.
If you have enough free space too after delete your logs, you need a nee hdd.
Give me a info about your hdd size. Because the ASL isn´t so big. I check my installation if there is a backupfile from the other updates and inform you.

I have a 40gb hdd
and when i look in my local log settings 75mb that  used so still 18797mb free...
it also does not give any description when i take my mouse pointer on that blue tag of  i of the latest patch......
or how do i know or free space from /var/update is full or empty.......

If you do not see a description it sounds like it downloaded incorrectly or not completely. Try running the prefetch manually again.

login to the firewlal using root..goto the directory and delete the offending file reboot hte firewall and try fetching/installing the up2date again.

I tried with doin manually but gave the same problem, then i deleted the file as guided by william ...  then i uploded the patch manually and installed now every things working fine........but thought to menion this, as i use firefox for webadmin.....already an issue of no cursur n the knownissues... i think theres one more to add it as the last time i tried to upload the 5.017.tar.gpg it took as only 5.017.tar. as the valu remain to be the same i had to manually type it in the file name then it started uploading.
And i am wondering that how much space is allocated to /var/up2date as it gave this problem or isit bcoz the first prefetch was not correctly downloaded.

How do you manualy delete the offending up2date?
I have not used the command prompt before.

I Get "000 System Up2Date failed: Not enough free space under /var/up2date. Available space: 0" when trying to install 5.013.tar.gpg

because it seems that you've done a fresh install, you should download the newest iso v5.24

Will give that a go instead of trying to do it from the comand prompt.

Installed from the latest 5.024 iso. Now running ok after update to 5.025.
