Over the last few weeks i have been reading and posting to come to some conclusions on good hardware to purchase for Astaro.
Being based in the UK my options (because of cost) as slightly more limited than the USA.
I have went for a ballance between performance and cost and think I have come up with a good ballanced solution for a high end home user (5 power users + 4 VPN) with say a 2Mb ADSL connection and as many NICS as you would like. I post here for opinions on what i propose and for others in my situation to use as a guide.
In Sterling UK £ this kit comes to approx £200 excluding delivery and a few of my on bits thrown in e.g. old scrappy cdrom and hard drive
