I just updated to 5.013 and now the WebAdmin is not reachable. But I can login via SSH. Is there a way to restart the webadmin or do I have to reboot the whole box?
i can access the webmin interface after i updated from 5.012 to 5.013. however, i had to wait at least 5 minutes before i could access anything. the firewall did not response to pings, no webmin interface, no internet-connection. after about 5 minutes, everything went to normal. i believe this is expected behaviour?
sven, check if your httpd is running (netstat -a), maybe you have to stop and restart it ( /etc/init.d/httpd restart ). same goes for the middleware ( /etc/init.d/mdw restart).
it happend to me at least twice before 5.013 that after an update the httpd or mdw did not start correctly. after i restarted the daemons manually everything went to normal again.
Hi, thanks for your reply. I found it. I tried to connect to a remote firewall (dyndns) over my local firewall. For this I used the proxy of my local firewall and this did not work. If I bypass the proxy of my local firewall and do a direct connect everything works fine.
To me it seems there is something wrong with the http-proxy since version 5.013....
