Wireless HW Report

I have ASL 5.012 working as a wireless access point with the following hardware:

D-Link DWL-650 PCMCIA Card (ORIGINAL VERSION Prism II)
(Newer ones won't work!)

It is installed into a PCI slot with a
Linksys WDT11 PCI adapter.

I already had ASL installed, so I added this line to /etc/modules.conf:
alias eth3 hostap_plx
(using PLX because the WDT11 is a PLX-type card)

After that, it showed up in webmin as WLAN0, and I configured it and everything is working.

Note: The DWL-650 does NOT have a connector for an external antenna, but one can be soldered on without too much trouble.

    Thanks for your report. I did some PLX testing when switching to hostAP, but PLX adapters are rare here and I didn't trust this enough to add it as a feature for Version 5. I decided to keep the module, though - I had the feeling that someone might find it useful :-)
