WebAdmin down ...

Hello Community ...

I'm using ASL for years and it's really fine. It works that fine and stable that I forgot to have ... I remeberd to have this thing because I want to open an NAT on my NIC. The Problem is, that WebAdmin fails to start. I don't miss a feature (except Webadmin), so I have absolute no Idea how long this "bug" exists.
By the way, it was my first reboot since installation one year ago ...
Some Idea how to handle this Problem? Is it possible to install latest update without webadmin? Is it possible to save configuration and reinstall without webadmin? Is ist obviously what my problem is?

I'm using ASL 4.xx

    Do you have a backup file?
    Do you have the original install ISO?

    Webadmin should be running.  Suggest you reboot and surf to https://x.x.x.x which is your gateway/ASL box.

    I think I have a configuration file.
    I'm sure I have the iso ...

    That's a problem when it's working that continously ... you forget everything about it. When you have to work around with it every day it's a bit different.

    What's the endig of an astaro conifg file?

    Is it possible to check a log file about the error? Probably it's just a simple error ...

    Backup files usually ends with .abf
    Which version do you have ?

    You could login via console and check the log files (/var/log/...)
    Maybe you've forgotten the IP adress of your system     ?

    It might be to forget where the hardware is located, but my standard gateway keeps in mind ;-)

    I'm running astaro 4.xx ... and it seems that ssh - is down too.

    I restarted hardware and it wrote that loading the web admin failed.

    Some good ideas. I can't find my configuration file. I need to store my dhcp - Table (have some fixed hosts there) and my routing - table. What's the command to load, unload, restart the dhcp daemon?

    Hello Community!

    I'm very sorry, but I still have problems with my ASL!
    My webadmin does not start at startup. I need to save the current configuration and reinstall or repair webadmin.

    Following things are important for me:
    dhcp: need the fixed hosts
    iptables: need my routes
    services: need my configurated services

    I think the rest is not that important!

    If you don't have a backup file, probably faster to reinstall?
