Hi all,
I recently upgraded from ASL ver 4.022 to ASL ver 5.12 on my Magnia SG20. All went well with the installation, and all appears to be working OK, with the exception of lack of support for the front panel LCD display.
Version 4.xx had drivers and scripts for this function. These drivers are absent in V5. i.e. the directory /usr/local/lcd does not have the Toshiba Drivers in them. Version 5 has been out long enough, that I assume no support is going to be given. In an attempt to get the display working, I copied all the files from V4 pertaining to the LCD's and performed the sym link etc., etc. When I perform a /etc/init.d/lcd start command, a [ok] prompt is returned, but no display. I'm assuming its because I don't have a /dev/ttyS0 driver. I can't copy it from V4.
My question is.......do one of you Linux gurus know how to either copy this driver or how to compile it, and if compile, what source code?
Thanks
